TV Series Recommendation - Word World
Today's recommendation is a TV series called WordWorld. If you have kids in the house who are learning to read, understanding the letter sounds, vowels and consonants, rhyming words and other basics these TV series will enhance the experience and make"learn to read" animated.
We watch this series at out house occasionally now, it was more often a year back, my son got enthusiastic with rhyming and spelling with this series. Every character or object is a spelling illustration and they have concept based episodes. Some of the episodes I really liked are Alphabet Shuffle, where one friend throws in the consonant and the other vowel, and how when both friends are not talking to each other they cant form a word. Their rhyme and spell episodes are really good too.
We watch this series on PBS, here is a you tube link to one of the episodes- https://youtu.be/uDZ_nJoXxz0
Disclaimer:This is a new thread kick-off to share the world of digital learning as we explore at our house. Digital recommendations may include good/clean TV time for kids, learning apps and similar information. This thread is not propagating media usage or an advisory board for how much media should be consumed by children - those are best answered by your pediatricians or your specific situation.
At our house we allow media consumption in moderation - we call it "Triple M" - Monitored Media Minutes - we moderate time and content access. Media is allowed in restricted and moderated ways to take the vantage points of the digital age and keeping a level of exposure just like all other learning concepts.
